During this time of year many elderly individuals find themselves alone, without any family or even just basic needs, they are the focus of “Angels for Elderly”. As we diligently work our wings off to extend a helping hand during their greatest time of need, we are profoundly grateful for the support and collaboration of the local community. With the invaluable assistance of the community and God, we can fulfill our mission to provide a holiday season that becomes a beacon of hope as we rally together as a community to bring warmth, companionship, and essential resources to those who may otherwise be overlooked. Angels for Elderly is not just an organization; it's a testament to the power of community and the profound impact that collective goodwill can have on the lives of our cherished seniors. In the truest sense, this collective effort mirrors the teachings of Jesus Christ, who exemplified love, kindness, and care for the marginalized. The essence of this initiative lies not only in providing material support but also in fostering a sense of belonging and warmth, echoing the timeless message of compassion that Jesus advocated for during his earthly ministry.
How it works: This year we are working with three local nursing homes. The communities survey their residents for needed personal items and other wishes. We work with the communities to establish an Amazon “Wish List” for each resident. Tags are printed and Angel Trees are setup at local businesses. Patrons take a tag from the tree and shop on Amazon from the resident's "Wish List". Upon "Checking Out" all items will be shipped directly to the community of the resident whom the tag is for.
*If you wish to skip Amazon and shop on your own, please return your gifts to the Angel Tree location where you gabbed the tag, no later than MONDAY, DECEMBER 18TH.
PLEASE REMEMBER: NO WRAPPED GIFTS and when someone chooses to select an Angel Tree Tag(s), you are committing to providing meaningful gifts that bring joy and warmth to the lives of seniors in need.
